How To Incorporate Crystals Into Your Self-Care Routine

We’ve been talking about alternative therapy/self-care methods for a few weeks now on the Self-Care for the Creative blog, so it’s only fitting that we include crystals and how they can be used as part of your self-care routine.

Crystals have become widely popular over the years - they’re commonly incorporated into jewelry and household decorations. But they’ve been used for their healing properties for thousands of years. Crystals not only have a lot of energy to promote different healing benefits, but they’re also the cutest emotional support buddies to carry around with you wherever you go for that extra comforting feeling.

The great thing about them is that they’re an easy way to improve your self-care routine in a way that doesn’t require a lot of effort.

How you can use them

Crystals are pretty essential to a witch or anyone with a background heavily influenced by spirituality. But, as I mentioned, they’ve become widely popular for the general public - meaning people that don’t necessarily identify as a “witch” or as super “spiritual” still find the benefits of crystal energy in their normal life.

Anyone can acquire and use them. They’re super easy. You pick out the ones that have the benefits that suit your needs most, and you keep them around you. That’s literally it! You can simply wear them, keep them in your pockets, or put them on your bedside table or desk. If you want to incorporate them a little more and increase the benefits from their energy, you can do things like meditate with them or use them in spells and rituals. Like I said, you don’t have to use them in a “spiritual” sense, necessarily. Just keep them close by when you need them to enjoy the benefits!

Types of crystals and their uses

There’s an endless list of different kinds of crystals, so I’m just going to discuss some of the more popular/common ones. Every crystal has its own purpose, energy, and benefits (physically, mentally, and spiritually). You should choose your crystals based on your needs, as well as which ones you're drawn towards the most.

Amythethist

For mental benefits, amythethist has a calming energy to help relieve stress, calm the mind, and balance your emotions. For physical benefits, it can help with headaches, boost your immunity, and improve sleep.

Clear quartz

Clear quartz is a primary crystal for spiritual growth, manifestation, and strengthening the effects of other crystals. It can also purify, enhance mental clarity, and improve focus.

Jade

Jade is primarily associated with wealth, abundance, prosperity, luck, and good fortune in a lot of cultures. It also has calming properties, helps to balance emotions and creates harmony of the mind, body, and spirit.

Rose quartz

Rose quartz is commonly known as a love stone. Not only does it help attract love and friendships, but it also helps to deepen your own self-love. It has healing properties to assist with healing emotional wounds.

No matter what crystals you choose to use, you’re in for a world of benefits!

Why they are a great addition to your current self-care routine

Crystals are a great addition to your self-care rituals for a lot of reasons. A big one is that they are extremely easy and convenient to use. You don’t have to do too much once you acquire your crystals, if you don’t want to. Simply keeping them handy and around your space is enough to reap the benefits.

The endless benefits are another reason why they are an amazing addition. Because there are SO many different crystals out there, you can pretty much find a crystal for most of your needs. Feeling stressed? There’s a crystal for that. Feeling fatigued? There’s a crystal for that. Feeling indecisive? You guessed it… There’s a crystal for that!

There aren’t any limits when it comes to crystals. There are SO many and you can collect as many as you want or need. You can use them in pretty much any way you want. If you simply want to keep them on your work desk to relieve your stress, go for it. If you want to get a little deeper into it, you can use them for spiritual rituals or meditations. It’s completely up to you what you do and what crystals you have. So why not take advantage of something so convenient with so many benefits? There’s really nothing to lose when it comes to crystal healing.
