Why do I have to apply?
There are a very limited number of seats available for each retreat! Applications ensure that participants are serious/committed songwriters, have a diverse and unique style, and that attendees will have the best retreat experience possible.

Our retreat is open to any genre of music! We want you to come with your unique style of writing.
What is the age requirement for this retreat?
The retreat is open to anyone 18+
Who will be the songwriting mentors at the retreat?
The songwriting mentors will be announced Fall 2025. Day Passes DO NOT have access to participate in the the songwriting sessions at the retreat. Instead you will have access to:

What is the retreat schedule like?
The mornings/afternoons will be packed with panels, workshops, strategy sessions and discussions. Lunch and snacks will be provided. Songwriting sessions will commence in the afternoon and last 4-5 hrs. Day 3 we will wrap with a playback and connection party! All songwriting mentors, music industry guests and speakers will be announced Fall 2025.
How do the songwriting rooms work?
You will be paired with one hit songwriter and one hit producer per room, along with 2-3 other retreat participants for each songwriting session. You will rotate collaborators each day throughout the retreat. If you are a music producer, you are welcome to bring your gear and co-produce with the producer mentor that day.
Where is the songwriting retreat?
The retreat will be held at Melrose Sound Studios in Hollywood, Los Angeles, California at 2811 Cahuenga Blvd. W. The studio has multiple studio rooms, beautiful outdoor space and additional amenities. https://www.melrosesoundla.com/hills
What about travel and hotel accommodations?
You would be responsible for airfare and hotel accommodations if traveling from another city. We recommend flying into LAX and there are plenty of hotels available in the Hollywood area that are close to the studio. There is street parking at the Melrose Sound Studio location but it is limited. We recommend Uber or Lyft (Ride sharing) to and from the studio.
What is the cancellation policy?
We understand plans may change due to unforeseen circumstances. We offer a full refund 90 days prior to the event, 50% refund 60 days prior to the event. No cancellations or refunds can be made 30 days prior to the event, but we’re happy to honor 100% of your payment towards another retreat OR you can use 100% of your payment towards other services with Stefani Fryzel Coaching (The Songwriter Series, Rewrites Masterclass, Private Coaching and other events! Etc.)
Do I keep the rights to my songs?
Yes, you will retain 100% of the rights. Publishing is typically split equally amongst your collaborators from each songwriting session.

Her work has been nominated for a grammy, featured on the Billboard Chart for Emerging Artists, nominated for radio music awards, and appeared in film and television.
